July 4th

July 4th, 1930 appeared an unknown figure

who came to the poorest part of Detroit, Michigan

where there was a concentration of a black population

and this is where it starts to get interesting

especially since this was the time of a terrible depression

and he himself was a handsome salesman

He went door to door selling silks of wrote

that came from our brothers in the east is what he told folks

and most of us didn't know we had brothers in the east

especially back then so of course our interest got piqued

He didn't say much at the time but invited many

to come and hear something that to us was a mystery

and he began explaining many things wonderfully

that was such an amazing thing to hear and see

particularly for a people in a state of great misery

One man saw him as he was that he recognized

and was told to say nothing and was taken off to the side

and of this occurrence there's much to say

but that began the Declaration of our Independence Day

You may wonder what this means and is about

among other things, time will manifest it all without doubt

and will be made clear for our minds to see

that eventually will also set our hearts at peace
